Challis Taxidermy was founded by Jason and Alyssa in 2022 right here in beautiful Challis, Idaho! 

It's a dream come true for Jason and Alyssa to live in a great little community here in the rugged and breathtaking central Idaho. After attending taxidermy school in 2016, Jason and Alyssa lived in Colorado where Alyssa had the opportunity to apprentice with a world class taxidermist and sculpture. Wanting to move back to Idaho, they worked full time for other taxidermy shops as well as did contract work for multiple other taxidermists. 

Being debt adverse, the couple worked hard to get their finances in order and make the move to a more rural area, set up their own business and live their dream of hunting, riding their mules and running their taxidermy shop in Challis. They pride themselves on running a debt free business, one that focuses on quality, timely turn around, and utmost attention to detail and the desire of the customer. Both being avid hunters, they understand how much the preservation of memories means.
